CWJRD believes in the power of youth sports. We feel every child in our community should have the opportunity to play regardless of their household income, and we've taken steps to ensure their participation.
CWJRD Family Assistance Fund
This fund serves as an assistance to CWJRD registration fees for students who live within Canal Winchester city limits or attend CWLS. The Family Assistance Fund (FAF) is based on the Federal Poverty Line (FPL). Discounted registration is based on family size and income level. Discounts range from 20%-80% off posted registration fees.
All requests are now handled through CWJRD. If a participant would like to request assistance anonymously, you can contact CW Human Services anna.ross@cwhumanservices.org.
If you are interested in requesting the Family Assistance Fund, please note our parameters and if you qualify, fill out the form below. The Recreation Director will reach out within 48 hours to schedule a time to meet and verify documents/issue a discount code.

In order to receive assistance from the FAF you must submit the form at least 2 weeks prior to the program closing date. Requests made in the last 2 weeks of registration or after closing will not be granted.

The FAF is available for internal CWJRD programs only and cannot be accessed for contractual programs or travel/club team fees.
This program is largely funded through the City of Canal Winchester's Bed Tax Grant, we are grateful for partnerships like these!
Dicks Sporting Goods + Every Kid Sports Partnership
The Dicks Sporting Goods Foundation partners with Every Kid Sports to offer registration assistance every season for families enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, WIC or the Foster Care system. Applications are taken throughout the year and typically are granted within 7-14 days.
